Playing at Home

One of my favorite things right now is to knock down towers. I love it when Papi builds with me and lets me knock everything down. I can do it over and over and over again and not get tired.

Papi and I do stuff that I don't get to do with Mami, so I always enjoy spending time with him...so much that I've been a distraction to Papi when he works from home--now he goes to the office for projects with short deadlines or when he needs to really focus. I know he has a hard time turning me away so I don't hold it against him (Mami makes good company too).

You can often find me in a corner pushing around my tractor and cars. I LOVE cars! I scream, "CARS!" when I see them on my daily morning walk with Mami and Charlie. I can't get enough of them! I even look out the window while I eat my meals and look to the highway (way past the trees) and say, "cars."

I keep hearing about Christmas! Mami got a really cool catalogue in the mail and let me look through it. Let me tell you, there are some really cool things in that book...
Yep, I'm already showing Mami what I want...
and I could NOT contain myself when I saw the teddy bear on the back. I just had to give him a snuggle.

Mami told Abuelita and she went and got me a new bear! It's in my room. I tried sleeping with it, but it was taking up too much room in my crib. Besides, I think Bernie (my lovey) was getting a little jealous...don't know why, I love him so much!

Almost 15 months already

These eyes melt Mami's heart every time.

Mami says I'm looking more and more like a big boy, but I'm still her baby.

"But I don't want to go home"
I do have hands in there somewhere.

Over a month...oops

I guess Mami is catching up resting because I was lovely while my molars--all four of them--came in at the same time. I also had my first ear infection followed by a cold, so you can imagine that my crabbiness was at an all-time high. I'm back to my good ol' self again!

I've been practicing my talking, although it sometimes doesn't make sense, not even to me. Hehe. Tonight I said, "Bibli" for "Biblia" (Bible). I love the little taggies inside that I lift up and get it a chuckle out of them. Something else I find funny is when Papi pours cool water on me when I'm in the bathtub. Papi started keeping a little well of clean water to rinse off my shampoo and bubbles and I guess it got cool and I thought it was funny. Silliness!
Here, an afternoon outing to enjoy the beautiful fall weather...I'm sad the cold front moved in---booo!

It took me long enough...

Mami and I went to the meadows and on the trail path I finally started clapping! Yes, I know, it took me a while, but I was busy doing other stuff--like walking...
(note: you may click on the photos to view them at larger size)

or monkeying around (yeah, that chair is now out of my play arena).

Take a look at me--notice anything here?
and here?
and here?
here?
here?
I like them sticks!

End of Summer

My police car got delivered!
Papi pushes me up and down our little hill and I just LOVE the thrill. It's never too early to start building some guns.
Just so you know, Papi was just my spotter. I was holding on and pulling up all by myself.
I've discovered that many things can make music, like banging on this bench.
I like the crunchy noise of the dry leaves.
"There isn't much to do here, Mami"
Sticks are still one of my all-time favorites.

In case you missed my party...

better late than never.
Mmmmm, I got my first sip of pina colada. Abuelito, you got some on your nose!

Ahhhh, yes, this is the life of a king.
Tio Ura, you got fur on your face.
Everyone wonders why I bite Mami's shoulders...

HER Mami taught me.
I played in the grass for a little with Titi Gory
We tried a family photo, but I was too busy playing to pose.
With Pop and Nana
Practicing (oops).

And out came the cake with fire on it.

Much bigger than the one I got on my REAL birthday
Can't get away from those cameras, can I? You should've seen the paparazzi behind Mami.
I think I've had enough cake

Got to open some presents...
and then I had to say good-bye to Pop, Nana and Aunt Lynne
We went to the playground--pay close attention: that is my Abuelito riding on the motorcycle, and my wild Abuelita at the top of the slide ready to go down with me in her arms.
I had enough...
Let's go home Mami, I think it's time to say good-night.
