Happy Belated Earth Day

Good morning outside world! I love to look out the window every chance I get.



Last Saturday we went to the playground (again!) for an Earth Day fair. I got to go on the swings and enjoy the nice weather with Mami and Papi. I love being outside.




Can you believe I'm 8 months old already? On Monday Titi Gory came to play with me and Mami took some pictures of us and me. I don't sit still long enough for Mami to get good photos. Haha. She needs to catch up to me.



Today my fourth tooth has finally cut through my gums. It has been a rough April. I've gotten four new teeth since April 2nd and the top two have been very painful. Mami is ready for me to go back to sleeping through the night. This morning at 4 am I woke up in pain/hungry and Papi decided to come and care for me. Well, I think I got my point across that he doesn't have what Mami has...I think Mami understood me crying out "Maaaaaaami". I'm really trying to let them know what I want but my mouth is just not moving the way I want it to. I guess I'll keep practicing. There's so much to learn.





Here I am standing! That's Abuelito and Abuelita talking in the background. And of course, Charlie gets in the way trying to steal my show. Now this was a week ago. By now I can stand alone for 2 seconds ***Mami commentary: he lets go of toys or whatever he's holding onto to drop to the floor and manages to stand for a few seconds, I guess while he's processing his next move. However, he still hasn't figured out that he can stand by himself and I'm ok with that***

No I won't give up

Yeah, that's me stading in my crib. I gave Mami a funny site by playing instead of napping. She thought I couldn't see her through the door crack...not so. I'm ahead of her game.



So much for that trick, though. This morning Mami had Papi lower my crib WAYYYYYY DOWN. I heard her telling him she was afraid I was going to jump out trying to rescue Bluito (he was my guinnie pig in planning a breakout of crib jail--he's ok, but there's no way I would've made that landing. Good thing he tried it out for me...what a pal he is!). I keep Mami on her toes!

Eventually I did take a really good nap and Mami even got to sneak in and take some pictures of me sleeping without me waking up. Ok, I find ways of making it up to Mami.

I have been trying to tell Mami that my mouth hurts again, but she didn't even look until yesterday before my bath and she saw that my top right tooth is practically out. Some teething tablets would've been nice....she just thought I was playing around. Ouch, the pain wouldn't let me sleep. So that makes it 3 teeth that I have for now.

I went to the park again; this time it was nice and warm AND Abuelita came with me. She even got on the swings! Pretty picture under a little tree with Abuelita. I was fascinated by the fallen blooms.

Busy week

Look at me! I went to the playground for the first time this week. Mami and Papi were very excited to get me on the swings but they forgot that I used to have one in my room...nothing new for me. That reminds me, where did that swing go anyway? That thing used to put me to sleep. Hmmm. Anyway, the slide didn't even interest me. Maybe when its a little warmer and the bright sun isn't in my eyes...maybe then I'll enjoy it. Scroll down for more on my week!

Well, I finally have a tooth! My bottom left came in on Tuesday after days of nagging pain on my gums. It is just visible today. And guess what, my bottom right just came in today. Mami couldn't see it, but I let her feel it with her finger.

Since I'm getting somewhat bored with crawling, I decided to try and stand up on my own. I did it! I pulled up using the changing table. Mami keeps hiding some toys under there...she thought I couldn't get to them. I got her! I CAN get to them and I learned a new trick getting to them. haha.

All this activity has taken a toll on me. Somehow I managed to take longer naps and pushed my bedtime back to 7 pm. YES! Now I can still have Papi give me a bath on the days he goes to work in Philly. He's back in time to get me in the tub.

I had forgotten to share how my buddie Charlie is now on a diet. Mami and I took him to see his doctor a couple of weeks ago and he gained 9 pounds in 9 months. yikes! So his doctor said he can only get 2 cups of food a day and no more. We've started taking more walks during the day so he can lose some of that weight. No more midnight snacks for you Charlie (or me for that matter)! That's right, I'm a big sleeping-through-the-night boy now. Ahhhhhh. Well, that's it for now. Come back next week!
