Before the month gets away from us...a Micah story.

It is so funny how he figures stuff out. He has his stool in the bathroom so he can stand and pee in the toilet (such a big guy being potty trained and standing to do it!). He recently wanted to reach for my towel while I was getting out of the shower and instead of struggling to reach it like he normally does, I heard him say, "oh, stool." He went over, grabbed his stool, placed it below the towel rack and grabbed it for me. "Here Mama!" Hey, a short guy has to survive. So now he takes his stool all over the upstairs. Yesterday he wanted to reach Roy bear..."stool!" Needless to say, it is another item that we must hide at nap time.

John has had to take a couple of toys away because Micah has wanted to have fun with Charlie a little to rough. He gets a kick out of pushing toys into Charlie and seeing Charlie flee from his side. Charlie is a little intimidated. LOL. So a couple of Micah's trucks ended up in the basement. He knew exactly why too--"Truck Henry (the name of the guy of that particular truck), down, ouchie Charlie." He may not have all the words to form a perfect sentence but he certainly can communicate!

Okay so it's been a while...waaaaay too long since the last post. But life seems to be in a new norm; hopefully we can keep up the blog. I think Mami will take over the blogging b/c Micah would never tell the funny stuff.

Check out the little guy that never slept anywhere...not the car...not abuelita's...or Mami's bed for that matter. At nap time, he said to me, "no nap, Mama". I told him he didn't have to take a nap if he didn't want to but he would have to stay upstairs and play quietly while Mami did some work. (fyi, our entire upstairs is toddler safe). He did just fine, but then I heard over the monitor what sounded like the shaking of a pill bottle. I ran upstairs and it was the blue car, no pills. He still didn't want a nap but it wasn't time for him to come down. I heard him whining over the monitor, playing with his phone, then....silence. I came upstairs to check on him and this is what I found:

He fell asleep at the top of the stairs with his favorite things: cell phone (under his right arm), Bernie, an old id that looks like a credit card to him, his car and the kitchen chair cushion he uses as a road. If you come to our house and sit in the kitchen and Micah tries to get you to get up, most likely you are sitting on his road. He's done it to us numerous times.

Of course, after I snapped the picture I picked him up and put him in his bed.
Where is time going? He is growing up way too fast :(
